For example, when there is an argument, and a person puts a question to the concrete block, it is more comfortable to move the discussion to that small piece of logics (but not to discuss everything on the whole). In that way you will quicker come to the explanation of your rightness, or, on the contrary, you will see the contradiction, and you'll be able to correct the situation.
Imagine, you're telling your listeners why micro-education works well. Your logics is: the listener assimilates tiny portions of information quicker – that means it is an effective approach. If an opponent does not agree, he will present huge portions of proofs, the argument will be slow and come to a dead end.
And if you say: there is a hypothesis, that a man assimilates information by tiny portions quicker – in that way the target seems more capacious, it is easier to find time for education. The interlocutor may protest against the latter statement: there is always a shortage of time.
Here the discussion will touch a small piece of your logics, it will be easier to find relevant arguments. For example, one may agree to the fact that not everybody on the planet has 15 minutes for studies. But their number is evidently less than those who have not 1,5-2 hours for viewing a classic educational webinar.
It’s important: sometimes people begin to argue with the examples, not with logical proofs – and here private opinions and subjective interpretations are possible. Not to immerse in thorny discussions, highlight the mistake.
There are unpleasant people sometimes. Work not with them, but with Yourself and Target Audience
If a troll is activated, it's important to stick to two things:
It's essential for the dialogue both with the troll and with other people from the audience to be constructive yourself. That's why you follow the structure of your speech attentively.
If the troll makes offensive jokes or is inappropriately ironical, you may define borders as the speaker and say openly:
"In that format I don't want to communicate. If there is a constructive comment, let's discuss what you don't agree to. If no and you just don't like me, it's evident: we are not on the way and you may not spend your time on me."
